In Indian culture and civilization, women are honored and revered as the topmost creation god, and Nature women are the cynosure of all creations of God every creation is insignificant without women. Indian women have got a glorious and gorgeous position in our society. But unfortunately, women are not considered and evaluated as true human spirits due to moral and mental degradation.
But in the present scenario education is the only medium that can glory and honor the female world. Education can inspire women to boost up self-confidence and self-dependence in society. Women must not be deprived of the vital education of human life. Today women are adorning every section of society whether it is parliaments, Judiciary universities, medical, science, bank, railway, administrative jobs, and others. Women have shouldered the work with men to make their society a decent place to live in. Educated women can rebuild society by their vital contribution to the field of science and technology. It has been rightly said that if a man gets an education, he educates himself, on the other hand, if a woman gets an education, she educates a family.

Women’s empowerment is a basic need of our society that can change the face of the world. Having this noble idea in mind our honorable secretary Sri Rajendra Prasad Singh made a great effort to establish D.S.W Evening College at Sohsarai in the pious land of Nalanda in the year 1985 to enlighten and empower women of the rural and urban society.
Human resource development Deptt. Govt of Bihar Patna and Magadh University Bodhgaya have given permanent affiliation up to B.A/B.Sc pass and honors level in the year 1989-90. This college has also got the position of getting a government grant regularly. The future vision of the college is to open B.C.A., Library Science and other professional courses in the near future.
About D.S.W.Evening College
D.S.W.Evening College, Sohsarai, Bihar Sharif, Nalanda, a permanent affiliated unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, was established in the year 1985. It is one of the famous multi-faculty colleges located at the heart of Bihar Sharif and imparting degree level along with Intermediate teachings in almost all subjects of Arts, Science.

History of D.S.W.E.College:
Sri Rajendra Prasad Singh a social worker and educationist is a resident of Khasganj, Sohsarai, Bihar Sharif. The name of the college is the name of the father’s Late Deo Sharan Prasad Singh. This college is founded and managed by a social worker and educationist Sri Rajendra Prasad Singh. Three storied college buildings along with other assets were built by Sri Rajendra Prasad Singh, Secretary of the College.
At present, Sri Rajendra Prasad Singh, a well-known educationist, and a good Nationalist have been working as a Secretary of this College. During his tenure, the College has got permanent affiliation and got post-sanction for teaching and non-teaching staff from State Government. Most of the teachers are permanently appointed on the recommendation of the Bihar college service Commission, Patna. The rest of the teachers are in the process of getting a permanent appointment. Modern techniques and equipment have been used to educate and train the students. This College is a government-aided college. Regular payment of teaching and non-teaching staff has been performed by the Government aid internal resources of the College.
At present, Prof.(Dr) Namita Sinha, Department of Chemistry has been working as a Professor in charge of the College. His mode of dealings with students, teaching, and non-teaching staff is pleasing to all.
